Call for Proposals

(Refer to the Application Guidelines)

Application

Submission of the Joint Research Proposal to the Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science.

Review and Selection

The Joint Research Subcommittee selects projects and prepares a draft of accepted proposals. The Joint Research Committee deliberates on this draft to make final decisions on acceptance or rejection.(The results are reported to the Council.)

Notice of Selection Results

The Director of the Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science notifies applicants of the final decisions made by the Joint Research Committee.

Registration Procedures

Submit the required documents listed below.

Internal Users

  • Application for Approval to Use Radioisotopes
  • Application for Addition/Removal of Project Participants (if there are changes to the research team)
  • Pledge
  • Letter of Approval
  • Notification of Use of Chemical Substances
  • Agreement on Information Security

External Users

  • Application for Registration as a Radiation Worker at the Research Institute for Synchrotron Radiation Science
  • Approval and Certification of Radiation Worker Status
  • Application for Addition/Removal of Project Participants (if there are changes to the research team)
  • Pledge
  • Letter of Approval
  • Notification of Use of Chemical Substances
  • Agreement on Information Security

Determination of Experimental Schedule

Preparation for Experiments

Please consult thoroughly with the person in charge regarding your experimental plan in advance. If any changes occur to the experimental plan described in your application, please notify the Chair of the Joint Research Committee. Additionally, for safety reasons, please bring your own indoor shoes.

Safety Training

All users must attend this training when entering the radiation-controlled area for the first time in the current fiscal year.

Experiments

Please follow the instructions of the staff in charge and conduct your experiments safely.

Experimental Report

Please submit the HiSOR Joint Research Experimental Report. The project leader must present a report at the joint liaison meeting held on the Monday following the completion of the experiment. (If the meeting is not held or you are unable to attend, please ask the staff in charge to report on your behalf.)

Submission of Activity Report (English)

Please submit an Activity Report equivalent to two A4 pages. An Activity Report is published for each fiscal year.
